What's 'Flashfilms'?

‘Flashfilms’ is the name I adopted for my production company in 2004, when I started dabbling in digital media. ‘Flash’ was my first dog.

I'm Joe. I was born in the U.K., a small island between the Atlantic Ocean and the North Sea. That's where I dabbled in filmmaking on Super 8 and 16mm, and I first worked in visual effects, animation, and postproduction. I then escaped to another continent, where I made a few more films and studied advanced screenwriting under Sy Gomberg at UCLA. My screenplays have been optioned and placed (AMPAS Nicholl Fellowship, WriteMovies, Imagine Impact), my shorts have appeared on BBC TV, Channel 4 TV, and at BAFTA/LA, and for two decades I covered the making of immense movies for Cinefex magazine.
