John Houston (L), Gladys Hill, and Ray Bradbury, circa 1956

On the 100th birthday of Ray Bradbury, I revealed a secret project.

In honor of the great American fantasist and writer, I decided to make public my own tribute to the big man which, for the last few years, I’ve been trying to realize. This was first a screenplay (which I proposed to Ray in 1990) and then a stage production (after Ray's death in 2012), dramatizing a handful of my favorite Ray Bradbury short stories.

Below is my proposal – my correspondence with Ray, playbill notes, and PDF of the play. Click the poster to browse my tribute to the master’s life and work...

Live forever, Ray!
